The natural properties silk needs a lower temperature than cotton, polyester and other fabrics. This is because the introduction of heat can cause permanent damage to the fibres.

- Do not wash your silk at over 30 degrees Celsius, or it will cause the fabric to harden, shrink, and become very brittle.

- Silk dries very quickly; lie flat on a drying rack or tumble-dried at a very low temperature.

- For ironing, prepare the fabric – which should always be slightly damp when ironing. Turn the garment inside out while ironing and keep a water spray bottle close by for an extra spritz. It is most important to use the lowest heat setting on your iron.

- To avoid wrinkles, remove the silk garment before it has completely cooled. Touch your clothing carefully with the tip of your finger before removing from the board. If it’s cool and dry, this will result in smooth, wrinkle-free silk!

When it comes to embroidered or openwork cotton pieces, it is advisable to opt for a gentle wash. Choosing a lower temperature setting of 30°C is not only beneficial for the garments but also environmentally friendly. Similarly, opting for natural air drying methods is recommended.

To maintain the appearance of your agave leather items, you can use a soft, dry dust cloth and a specialized transparent balm for added brightness when necessary. It's important to note that leather is a delicate material and should be kept away from water as much as possible. Additionally, avoid placing agave leather items near direct sources of heat, as this can cause the leather to dry out and become damaged.

- For routine maintenance, gently wipe the surface of the leather with a soft, dry cloth or a specialized leather cleaning brush. This helps remove any dust or dirt that may have accumulated. If there are any spills or stains, act quickly by blotting the affected area with a clean, dry cloth to absorb the liquid.

- Avoid exposing it to excessive moisture or prolonged sunlight, as this can cause discoloration or fading. Additionally, be cautious with sharp objects or rough surfaces that can scratch or damage the leather. Regularly conditioning the leather with a specialized leather conditioner can help keep it supple and prevent drying or cracking.

We recommend dry cleaning these types of pieces, in order to clean them without damaging the fabric or the shape of the piece. We also suggest storing them on hangers so they can smooth out naturally. If needed, you can gently iron them: in this case, we recommend using a damp cloth to protect the fibers.

As a reminder, alpaca wool is known not to retain odours or dust. You can occasionally place the garment on a flat surface, on a clean towel, and let it dry in the open air. Simply aerating it will give it a refreshing boost and prevent you from washing.

- If you wash your alpaca clothes yourself, please do it by hand. Simply let the water run for the duration of the washing and rinsing to keep the same temperature. It is advisable not to wring or twist the garment after washing: simply and gently pressing to remove excess water will do the trick!

- Choose a completely flat natural drying process (including the sleeves of your sweaters) to avoid stretching the fibres, and ideally in the open air, preferably not in direct sunlight.

-Your pieces should be folded and laid flat, never hung.

We will assess the repair request to ensure it aligns with our repair guidelines, and upon approval, you can send the garment to our headquarters in Bogotá. We will handle the repair process and return your garment to you, rejuvenated and ready to be cherished once again, all at no cost to you.

Currently, our repair program is available exclusively for our customers in Colombia.
